On November 8-9, 2019, the acting dean of the Faculty of Economics and Finance Dmitry Kunitsyn took part in the republican scientific and practical conference "Prospects for the implementation of the concepts of development of the tax and financial systems in Uzbekistan", and also held a number of meetings with the leadership and teachers of Tashkent State University of Economics on the implementation of the roadmap for the development of cooperation between the "Accounting and auditing" faculty of this university and the Siberian Institute of Management.

During the scientific-practical conference, Dmitry Kunitsyn made a keynote speech at the plenary session with the theme "Development of tax administration in the context of the digital transformation of the economy." According to the results of the speech, answers were given to a large number of questions asked by representatives of universities and research organizations of Uzbekistan on tax policy and improving tax administration. They discussed issues of both tax administration and the search for effective forms and methods of taxation, determining the optimal level of tax burden for entities representing various types of economic activity.

Distantly, several teachers of Faculty of Economics and Finance of the Siberian Institute of Management took part in the scientific and practical conference with scientific articles, specifically:

1. Vyzhitovich A.M. “Actual issues of taxation of participants in cluster projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan and Russia”;

2. Gomanova T.K., Grishanova A.V. “The trajectories of the development of the financial sector in the context of the transformation of the digital economy”;

3. Epifanova N.S., Sukhodayeva T.S. “Prospects for digitalization of the banking system of the Republic of Uzbekistan”;

4. Shumyatsky R.I. Regulation of investment activities in Russia and Uzbekistan by tax legislation.

Following the Conference results, the rector of the Tashkent State Economic University Kongratboy Sharipov praised the results of the participation of the Siberian Institute of Management in its work and thanked for the established cooperation, outlined the need for further continuation of work on the implementation of the joint roadmap, which included exchange of students and teachers, writing textbooks, participation in scientific and practical conferences, etc.
