On the 17th of October, foreign students of SIM RANEPA visited the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of the SB RAS, under the guidance of a specialist of the Department of International Cooperation Dina Fokina.

Employees of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics told the visitors about scientific experiments that are conducted in laboratories. As a result of one of the experiments, a unique population of domestic foxes was bred by a soviet geneticist Dmitry Belyayev. The Institute of Cytology and Genetics is the only institute of its kind where such kind of experiment was conducted. During the tour, everybody also managed to see what the human brain looks like in the third week of development.
